Dolce“Dolce,” My flute teacher pronounced slowly, elongating the “o” vowel. “And what does it mean?” “Sweetly,” I quietly replied. The word was definitely ingrained in my head, but I did not think I’d fully grasped its true meaning. It seemed that my teacher also knew this. He sighed loudly as he leaned back in his dusty armchair. I closed my eyes and imagined my escape.
